I have a friend who lived in it during its hay day - the 70s. He had a pool as well. He was a writer for the Washington Star at the time. I remember visiting the place during the hearings and seeing all kinds of politicians coming and going near the outdoor bar. My parents and I were agog! I was there about two years ago and it didn’t look as spiffy as I remember it.

That reminds me of the time my husband and I went to the National Conservatory to see an exhibit of poinsettias. (We were visiting my parents in Arlington). The conservatory was being set up for a Senate event, and there were cases and cases of booze being unpacked!
