You're missing my point, and perhaps I did not articulate it well enough. I'm not suggesting in any way shape or form that anyone deserved to die or died because of their ideology. What I'm saying is that the progressive ideology of the CITY led to lax enforcement of rules that could have prevented this tragedy.

Perhaps that is true. But there are serious accidents and fires in cities all over the country, even in places where code enforcement is up to snuff.
The fire at the Station night club in Warwick RI back in 2003 killed 100 people. I don't recall the ideology of liberalism being a factor in that fire, or that anyone tried to make it a factor.
