What I'm saying is that the progressive ideology of the CITY led to lax enforcement of rules that could have prevented this tragedy.

Perhaps that is true. But there are serious accidents and fires in cities all over the country, even in places where code enforcement is up to snuff.

The fire at the Station night club in Warwick RI back in 2003 killed 100 people. I don't recall the ideology of liberalism being a factor in that fire, or that anyone tried to make it a factor.

Agreed, that's why I'm referring to this incident (where I think there may have been ideological reasons to not enforce the code), and not to others all over the country.
