Regulations absolutely are a part of the equation - both narrow attacks, and exemptions. This beyond the basic substrate of an overwhelming bureaucracy.Americans are taxed to the max, mandated to the ground and regulated to death. No conversation regarding 'taxation' should be limited to tax rates. A dairy farmer is NOT taxed and regulated or mandated the same as an air conditioner manufacturer. Have you heard California is regulating cow farts? Seriously?
