Agreed. I do not understand why people have the need to put every detail of their lives out there.

I get especially annoyed by the mothers who spend more time telling Fakebook land how much they love their children than they actually spend in taking care of those children. (I am not saying that was the case with this mother.)

I understand why the mother wanted support, but facebook might not have been the best place to find it.

I searched under “support groups for parents with disabled babies” and found quite a few options. I’m sure that there are many more, if one searches with the name of a specific illness.

no, I think people should understand - you’re putting the picture out there for the world to see, you’re going to have some a-holes comment, but that is a small price to pay for the mountains of support you’ll get.

“keep that stuff off of Facebook.”

Why should she keep her child’s picture off facebook?
I’ve seen worse in regular daycare. Children adjust. Too bad adults are not as accepting. There’s no need to hide her child.

Why? They are looking for support and just maybe answers. I have seen many messages about ill babies and children. If people find them awful, hide them. It is that easy. Just recently a little girl with cancer had a page asking for prayers. She died a few weeks ago but people on FB gave the parents a lot of support and prayers. When I see messages like this, I say a prayer. I also think that these children could be our own family. I wish FB had been around before one of my daughters died from complications of Crohn’s Disease in 2004. We could have used the support and prayers. It does not get easier as the years go by. God bless them.
