right back at ya
I’m old enough to remember when the Big Mac was introduced. Followed eventually by copycat Burger King’s Whopper.
What foods weren’t better 40 or 50 years ago? I’m only 42 but everything is smaller and lesser than when I was a kid.
The only great improvement I know is microwave popcorn is a lot better than 30 years ago.
Been to the Big Mac Museum in N Huntingdon PA area. Fox Chapel eh? Home to one of John and Te-ray-za’s mansions of course.
Would McD’s ever try a Primanti Bros style sandwich?Fries and slaw in it
Do you know why?
Since they still make McRib, perhaps they are ready to step up their game.
It’s just you. When you pay 25 cents they taste better. : )
I read yesterday they are trying fresh meat. Like to see what that’s ike.
McDonalds locally was offering the Blitzburger as a cross-promotion with the Steelers.
I thought it would be a burger with Primanti-style toppings.
But it’s not. White cheddar, grilled onions, bacon and mustard on a brioche-style bun.
Very tasty I must say. Have not ordered lately as they’ve hiked the price twice since its introduction.
Maybe next season they’ll go the Primanti route.
Special sauce == mayo plus thousand island dressing.
Better option was the quarter pounder w cheese or double quarter pounder with cheese.
Certainly the fries were.
Agreed. The Big Mac is a delicious sandwich, but totally a rippoff of the Big Boy sandwich.
I would if I could but I can’t. So they’re free. =;^)
Every Bob’s Big Boy I ever ate had a three slice hamburger bun. And it did not have Thousand Island “secret sauce”, it was dressed with mayonnaise & spicy red relish.
The shakes were served in a metal goblet & were so thick if you held it upside down it didn’t spill. Started going there in the late 40s/early 50s.

The wifey and I were traveling Germany a few years back, and spotted a McD’s! We cut across the autobahn at 100 KPH and raced in. While she was “freshening up”, I ordered what she wanted, and spotted the BEER! OMG! She returned to a nice meal with me of burgers and German beer!! We stayed for a bit.
A shame that he was known more for the Big Mac than for the Egg McMuffin.
The Egg McMuffin was pure genius. The poor man’s Eggs Benedict. Probably the justification of McDonald’s opening for breakfast.
I also heard they are testing a Sriracha burger. THAT could be a winner.
I like the double for 1.19 now I see they have a triple. Small fires small drink, still reasonable for a quick on the run meal.
I've had a beer with mine in Oakbrook, Illinois. Of course it was in the McDonalds in the ground floor of the McDonalds corporate office building.
“My kids didnt believe me at first when I told them that at one point in our countrys history, EVERYONE could tell you what was in a Big Mac!! LOL!!
almost everyone.”
That’s because...
Two all beef patties
Special sauce
Cheese, lettuce
Pickles, onions
On a sesame seed bun
Was such a jingle and we only had broadcast TV with a few stations.
