Wisconsin Elections Commission Releases Presidential Election Recount Cost Estimate of $3.5 million
Wisconsin Elections Commision Website ^ | 11/28/16 | Wisconsin Elections Commission

, one or both of the candidates will have to pay $3,499,689 to the Commission by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Commission Administrator Michael Haas. Both recount petitioners have been advised of the cost estimate.

At a meeting earlier today, the Commission directed staff to assess the full estimated recount fee to both petitioning candidates unless the candidates each submit payment for one-half of the total estimated cost.

“County Clerks have done their best to estimate the actual costs of conducting a large recount in a relatively short time,” said Haas. “The estimates may vary widely as some clerks may not have been able to precisely identify their estimated costs in the short time available to them. If the estimate turns out to be too high, the campaign will receive a refund. If the estimate is too low, they will have to pay the additional cost.”

Wisconsin’s 72 County Clerks expect to hire thousands of temporary workers to assist the county boards of canvassers in recounting the ballots. They also expect to be working extra hours and weekends to finish the recount by 8 p.m. Monday, December 12, the deadline established by the Commission today. The Commission will certify results by 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 13.

WI Filing fee $1.1 million
Recount 3.5 M
Stein estimated attorney fees 2.0M

WI total 6.6 Million which is about the amount they have raised to date. Recount fees could go higher....especially if all counties use overtime pay to help each employee’s Christmas fund.

If the cost for the simple machine recount is 3.5 -4.6 million, imagine how much an expedited hand recount would cost.

At least three times as much so we are talking about 12-15 million for the hand recount demanded by Jill Stein in Wisconsin alone.

“...all they really care about is power...”

Same as it ever was.

And they’re LOST power now, and it’s time to do the Zombie Stomp on them.

No checks. Demand cash on the barrel head.

She will not pay 3.5 million to have them hit the count button again.

They claim to care about the poor but all they really care about is power.

Once someone in the gop-e understands this we might begin to actually do something about it.

Right, this is a perfect example, how much human suffering could have been alleviated with the money spent foolishly on this recount?

Stein will have to put up the recount bond by close of business day tomorrow.

If she wants a court-ordered hand recount, it could be double the quoted cost.

What does that mean for the recounts in MI and PA? We’re talking serious moolah here.

$7 million won’t cover an expense spread out across three states.

“imagine how much an expedited hand recount would cost.”

Today, the Wisconsin Election Commission denied Stein’s request for a hand count. If she wishes to overturn that denial, she’ll have to fight it through the Wisconsin courts now.

I don’t think she has money on hand to pay for a hand recount.

Either she settles for the machine recount or drops the whole thing.

Its an expensive exercise in liberal vanity.

Gonna be REALLY interesting to see if Stein actually chucks the bucks for the $3.5 million estimate as well as agreeing in writing to pay an indefinite amount more than that should the ACTUAL costs exceed $3.5 million.

“No checks. Demand cash on the barrel head.”

Oh, they’ll definitely demand certified funds and make sure they clear before proceeding. They’ve pretty much already stated that.

I don’t think she could afford a hand count.

More importantly, it is pretty hard to hide the source of about 50 million (for three hand recounts) bucks transferred overnight

“Soros will pay up would be my guess”

That statement is easy to believe, but is there any concrete proof Soros is behind Stein? That is, has any money actually been physically traced from one of his various accounts to hers or her party?

There are other conspiracy theories out there that leave Soros out of the picture.

Hiterly jumping on Stein’s bandwagon is not evidence of anything, as again many theories may evolve from this.

Or some are saying it’s due by 4:30 pm CST. Anyway, end of business. This figure is more than three times what she thought it would be. More than half her total warchest. George! More money, sugar!

They have to work nights and weekends just because a stupid liberal cow can’t accept reality.

Funny thing about it is liberals always claim they care about workers and their working conditions and here they want to take away their holidays away from them on an endeavor nearly everyone agrees is pointless.

The selfishness of leftists when it comes to other people is an irony lost upon them.
