EXCLUSIVE: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon‘s Michelle Yeoh is heading into the final frontier with Star Trek: Discovery.  Sources confirm to Deadline that the upcoming CBS All Access iteration of the fabled franchise will see Yeoh playing a Starfleet Captain.

However, before you start mapping out the deck of the Discovery, sources close to the production tell us exclusively that Yeoh will actually be the leader of another ship. We hear that Yeoh has been cast as Han Bo and her ship is the Shenzhou. The Yeoh-run spacecraft is set to play a big role in Discovery‘s first season.

I'm pretty much done with Star Trek, Star Wars, Captain America, and others because of their social messages. Other than that, here's a picture of Michelle Yeoh.

I wrote a sci-fi adventure years ago, kind of a “James Bond in space” thing, still available as an Amazon e-book (not that I’m shilling!) and thought she would have done a good job with my lead character.

Of course, I thought the book would sell, too! Shows what I know,
Cheers,
Jim

An indisputable authority on the subject, Facebook, lists 58 different gender identifications, and if each and every one of them does not have a representative character on this new ST, I'm calling discrimination.

Women weren’t allowed to be captains in the original series (see the final episode), although I think there may have been some female admirals.

At any rate, I started watching Voyager and never made it to the 7 of 9 episodes. It was just too painful to watch.

Even Next Generation didn’t suck that bad, and it started off with a French captain who surrendered in the first episode.

I am not crazy about the reboot either. It started OK, but it is definitely heading towards being upside down in the ditch. Producers are just idiots anymore.

keep in mind the media is social engineering. all major scripts had to be approved by the home office before moving forward.

the personality in office radically effects the storylines and demographics

But... she's not negro!

Has trump, on top of everything else, broken the back of the Hollywood suck-up to Obama where every new character, show, movie is about being a negro?

Star Trek is dead to me. It had long been a banner bearer for progressive (I loathe that term) causes but when it went all in by having Sulu be “married” to another man, that was the final blow. Abrams’ 2009 Star Trek movie was AMAZING! But the follow-up was crap and Beyond was worse. Suffice it to say, I’m finally burned out on Trek. Paramount had their chance to revive the franchise brilliantly, and they blew it.

I remember what happened with the Stargate franchise.

SG1 was great, stuff even kids can watch, for the most part.

Atlantis was a little darker, but still good.

Then SciFi changed and put some lesbian hack in charge.

They made Universe, and it was unwatchable dreck. Dysfunctional characters in a dysfunctional story. Homosexuality. A bunch of people with the sexual morality of a pack of stray dogs. Half the crew belonged behind bars, the other half in a psych ward.

Leftists: What they can’t destroy, they crap on.
