The emolument clause is quite simply meant to eliminate the threat of bribery of public officials. Trump is exempt from conflict of interest laws and as a billionaire in all probability cannot be bought. So this Painter jerk can go eff off. Typical CNN crap.
Did his companies own slaves? Prevent people from voting or bearing arms? Commit treason? Are there any other Constitutional violations a non-governmental entity do? Most of the Constitution is about what the government can and can't do.
