I believe CA is one of those states that gives more than it gets. I live in KY, which is the opposite.
I do like the idea of losing all those electors for future elections, though.

Won’t happen, but honestly let em go.
Reality they are not self sufficient, don’t even have enough domestic water supplies for their populations, so watching them collapse should they ever actually go through with it would be laughable to watch.
They would wind up invaded and defeated by Mexico in under 50 years.

I've always felt that forcing states to stay in the union by threat of force was wrong. I won't use that same method against left wing states that want out any more than I would against right wing states that want out.
If CA wants out, let them out.
