Priebus on Islam: Clearly there are some aspects of that faith that are problematic

A great hue and cry has arisen over these remarks among the best and the brightest; our moral superiors demand that we affirm that there is nothing, nothing whatsoever, problematic about Islam, and anyone who thinks otherwise is “racist” and “Islamophobic.” The fact that Islamic jihadis routinely cite Islamic texts and teachings in order to justify violence and make recruits among peaceful Muslims troubles them not a whit. After all, Westboro Baptist Church!

Incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said some aspects of the Islamic faith are “problematic” while defending former Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s controversial comments about Muslims.

Asked on ABC whether future National Security Adviser Flynn’s view that Islam is a political ideology that hides behind being a religion is in line with President-elect Trump’s view of Islam, Priebus answered “I think so.”

“Clearly there are some aspects of that faith that are problematic and we know them; we’ve seen it,” Priebus said. “It certainly isn’t a blanket for all people of that faith, but Mike Flynn is one of the most highly respected intelligence officers in America. Certainly no one can deny that.”

>>After all, Westboro Baptist Church!

Which, just for the record, is basically a lawsuit scheme by a family of Democrat lawyers. An unpleasant truth the Left studiously ignores.

Good, very very good. Sounds like we have an administration that is going to recognize the enemy.

Yeah, like it being the bitter enemy of Christendom from the minute that Islam was hatched in the mind of Mo.

Well, duh. I’d say that slavery, beheadings, murder and mayhem are a little more than “problematic”.

That is the core of Islam, so Islam is a problem that is best dealt with from a distance, as long a distance as possible.
If we can’t muster the will to eradicate it, it must be isolated to as small an area as possible.

Well, long overdue, folks are connecting DOTS.. Have you ever heard of the Amish or Mennonite faith doing suicide vests or plowing loaded jets into skyscrapers. Neither have I. There are similarities, and common books that people read that do these things. The Koran mentions the use of violence to extend their faith. WAKE UP...

Westboro is also principally guilty of being tacky and rude ... not of killing and murdering its way across 14 centuries.

there is nothing, nothing whatsoever, problematic about Islam, and anyone who thinks otherwise is “racist” and “Islamophobic.”

Mohammedanism is incompatible with reason and reality. It conflicts with the human nature's requirements for life proper to a rational being. Therefore it is evil, and it is rational to dislike evil.

Finally at the top levels of our Govt. the problem is being exposed.

Hopefully I will live long enough to see these Muslim Jihadists called "fundamentalists" and not radicals and extremists which implies they are not following Islam the way Allah and Muhammad want Islam implemented. -Tom

That too, no doubt.

But when you lack a moral compass, and hold fast to multiculturalism over all, there’s no real difference, right?

Of course Islam is problematic. The bad feature being our leadership is generally ineffectual holding such “beliefs” as “tolerance,” “understanding,” “a big tent,” “room at the table””a border less world,” “we belong to the world<” attitude.

With the insane nitwits of the left we can’t even be sure that the “sex” of some individual reported in the news is even remotely accurate ... as it now seems that mentioning someone as “transgender” may somehow deny their self identification.

Certainly that’s where this will lead as even saying someone is trans will be deemed as being somehow critical of their lunacy.

“Problematic” is hardly the word for it.

On the other hand, I don’t care what he says, as long as he DOES the right thing.

Unfortunately, his record is pretty poor. Well, let’s see.

Keep Priebus off the air.

If a chief of staff is going to be that mealy-mouthed on TV and appear this often, then give the job to Newt Gingrich

He would be tearing them a new one. Priebus hasn’t got half his balls.
