FULL TITLE: America's heroin epidemic laid bare outside McDonald's: Shocking footage emerges of the moment two men had to be rescued after overdosing in a parking lot

A disturbing video has emerged showing the extent of the country's heroin epidemic, with two men having to be rescued after overdosing in a McDonald's parking lot in Ohio.

The video, taken on a cellphone and posted to Facebook Live, has been viewed more than 50,000 times following the incident in Sandusky on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, a group of people found one man passed out behind the wheel of a car, and a second man unconscious on the ground by the vehicle.

The video begins with the man, Eddie Wimbley, pulling up at the McDonald's in his car and asking somebody to call 911.

Others quickly arrive at the scene and try to help the men. They determine both are breathing, but while the driver soon comes to, the man on the ground will not respond.

One woman, who Wimbley said is a nurse, takes charge and attends to both men.

Paramedics soon arrived at the scene, followed by police.

Wimbley, who had his four-year-old son in his car, said he was worried the man on the floor was dead.

'He wasn't moving or responding or anything,' Wimbley told Fox 8 Cleveland.

With roles models like Steppenwolf and Eric Clapton WHAT chance did anyone have?
By the way I listened to "I Shot the Sheriff" about a million times.

Now, I listen to operatic arias. THEY are so beautiful that they are STILL be sung after hundreds of years AFTER they were composed. THEY stood the test of time.

Mind you, not all opera is good. I have a system.

"A" operas: so wonderful that I attend them any time I can. I stay the ENTIRE time. I am transformed by their melodic beauty. ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫

"B" operas: good with two or three arias or so that are GANGBUSTERS. ♫♫♫

"C" operas: yawn. Great if you care to take naps. I leave at the first intermission.

"D" operas: I run out AT THE FIRST HORRID THREE NOTES OF THE FIRST ARIA, silently SCREAMING, with my fingers in my ears. THESE die a natural death and are put on ONLY once.

"Old" money in large urban areas [London, Paris, Rome, Hamburg/Berlin, New York, Chicago, etc.] support these money drains. If the opera is put on with stupid costumes and/or absurd settings the old money frowns. The rest of us quietly leave at the first intermission. I leave when I damn well want to. So, I still enjoy the opera. I am seeing FOUR of the BIGGIES this upcoming season: Madame Butterfly, Don Giovanni and La Boheme. I just WON'T pay to see/hear the crap.
Check out at when they were first put on...they aren't new by any means. You can "google" any of those arias on YouTube and listen to the greatest opera singer sing their hearts out.

Example: Angela GHEORGHIU (soprano) - Vissi d'arte (the song)- Tosca (the opera)- Puccini (the composer) - YouTube
Maria Callas was also a FABULOUS soprano.

While Afghanistan does produce huge amount of heroin, the vast majority of heroin used in the US originates from Mexico and South America.

Perhaps the Afghani heroin is for Europe and Russia while south of our border supplies U.S. heroin users. I'm SURE that the cartels are FAR better organized than we are.

If somebody wants to kill themselves with heroin, who am I to stop them?

Trump’s fault!

After all, the police noted there were 20+ ODs and four OD deaths in the last two weeks. Mostly all since November 8!

Happening in McDonalds parking lots and bathrooms everywhere...why is anyone surprised?

Look there are two answers: Go Duerte on the dope dealers or legalize it and distribute it at safe medically monitored locations so your kids are seeing these folks kick it at MCDs.

I hear you but it has gotten to the point that if the police don’t have Narcan in the car with them, they are probably going to be sued.

It sucks but these is the result of liberal policies.

Remember, Obama just pardoned a bunch of these dope dealers who caught fed cases. The FBI, ATF, and DEA are not amused.

You shouldn’t be either. The average dope case has a million dollar budget assigned to it.

This overdose problem is common in heroin for two reasons. The first is the quality variations in the product. Users get a more potent dose than they expect. The second is that dealers are cutting heroin with fentanyl and carfentanil, the latter being a large animal tranquilizer. Both are extremely dangerous in small quantities.

If only it were that simple. How many of us have pain killer prescriptions that doctors insisted we fill, but didn’t need? Sometimes I wonder if it’s lazy doctors who don’t want to be bothered with calls if people actually need these poisons. So many people have become addicted because of a pain killer instead of working through the pain.

re: police providing Narcan for ODs

I wonder if it doesn't do more harm than good to have such a drug. Are there druggies who rationalize that they don't have to worry about the danger because Narcan will reverse the effects of an overdose?

I was on a thread somewhere where some posters were stating that Narcan causes a very rapid reaction. If those who use it don't get immediate followup supervision, withdrawal causes them to go out and get high right away.

It’s not the drug, it’s society . I have 4 beautiful children and it sad to see what they are being taught and what they hear from peer groups . It’s all doomsday dystopian . If all you hear is that you have no future no upward mobility and that you are the cause of all the worlds problem , why wouldn’t you drug out and drop out . It’s a release from life . Sad but a reality . Thank God we change course for the future of our children and our republic

I have never understood why people would even try hard narcotics like heroin or meth.

Having tried coke once at a party I can understand how they get hooked then work their way up to heroin.

Once he gets settled in,Trump should call out Obama and the MSM for ignoring this problem.Just as there are no homeless during a Democratic administration, there is never a drug problem, and of course the drugs don’t come across the border.

Trump did the nation a favor by calling attention to the problem after he campaigned in NH.
