O’NEALS” IS CRASHING
http://www.catholicleague.org ^ | 11/17/2016 | Bill Donohue

“The Real O’Neals” draws fewer viewers on Tuesday nights during prime time than any other show on ABC. Here’s the proof. •8:00 “The Middle” draws 6.16 million viewers •8:30 “American Housewife” draws 5.24 million •9:00 “Fresh Off the Boat” draws 4.26 million •9:30 “The Real O’Neals” draws 3.56 million •10:00 “David Blaine: Beyond Magic” draws 5.13 million

In other words, 700,000 viewers who watched “Fresh Off the Boat” either turned off the TV or turned to another channel when the “O’Neals” came on. Yet when the “O’Neals” went off the air, more than 1.5 million viewers turned on ABC.

The “O’Neals” is crashing not simply because of poorly written scripts, but because there is less tolerance for Catholic bashing in the general population than there is at Disney/ABC.

It’s just a matter of time until this Dan Savage-inspired show is finally cancelled.

If you don’t watch any of these shows, why are you commenting? This “I don’t watch TV” humble-bragging is a pet peeve of mine.

Then why waste our time with a comment?

ah ok. I am behind, to put it mildly, on several shows I watch. not enough time, got tired of some of them, then started watching The Crown. Gotham was one that was quite well done but thank you for saving me the trouble of catching up! Husband and I watch Luke Cage (excellent show!) and I will get caught up on Daredevil (and maybe Jessica Jones) because the story lines are related. Then of course there is Longmire. I am a season behind. That is a brilliant show.

Google ‘ Dan Savage ...Rick Santorum. ‘
Yes, Mr. Savage was rewarded for being **that ** vile, with accolades and a TV show.

The one I’m referring to is the foul mouthed sort of music video with a bunch of youngish celebs including the gals that play Amy and Bernadette. The show has always been leftist in slant if you ever read the message cards at the end from Chuck Lorre. This video came out just before the election and clearly was an appeal to young voters to not waste their vote on third parties.

Blue Blood is by far the best TV of recent times...and the best accurate portrayal of Catholics.

But note. Over 50% of practicing Catholics are Hispanic in the US. Actually, the only thing holding that percentage back is that so many are switching to Evangelical because the American Catholic church is much more liberal than the Mexican Catholic Church.

Vaguely remember seeing a mention of the video, but didn't get around to watching it. Yes, the Bernadette actress got noticed as a comedienne with some act parodying the GWB daughters, iirc, so I'm not surprised.

I gave up on reading Lorre's cards a while ago, when they stopped being generally humorous.

Here it is if you are interested. Post election it is more amusing for the level of desperation but it is like wading into a sewer.

Desperation? More like abject stupidity. I’ve already stopped watching TBBT, and if I had recognized any of them in the few shows I watch now, I would stop now.

I started to watch a new USA show, Eyewitness. About 15 minutes into the show, two teenage boys started kissing. I turned it off and removed it from my list of shows to check out.

I’m sick of TV pushing gayness.

Dear papaBear, re:Lucifer, It is curious to watch that, those who are like Lucifer, are noticing the change in , but are wrought with grief, as finds HIS wings out-of-whack, or completely confused, as , when she shows her true likeness to the little girl ("Kewl! Now we will really get a lot of candy!"). I do agree with the plot twist, borrowed somewhat from Joseph Campbell, of 'the hero redemption'. (Why would Lucifer 'ask Dad' to protect , or give a quick plead, "Oh come on now, Dad, you know this is not the way it will go down!", other than plot twist?) Now, with the introduction of "Mum", and how her character is being developed, there is a spark of outrage of Lucifer "being framed", by 'Mum's' actions. As for 'Maz', she is finding that she CAN fit in, when she is following her Leader, oathbound, and still become in the fleshly world of humans, and profit from that. ("I got a job, hunting humans, (bountyhunter), and i get paid doing it!") I think the show has talented writers, to keep the twists, plot turns, character discoveries, and boy meets girl all in one piece. (i've been a writer since a child. I find i watch tv shows as: viewer, writer, editor.)
