That's one fast Mustang!

Like to see what he had under the hood.

.... Bet it was clocked at KPH and not MPH. That’s way to fast for standard stock vehicle.

Aerodynamics of a Mustang wouldn’t be optimal for that speed.

I bet it isn’t stock. And they use the term “Ford Mustang” for every version of the vehicle.

KPH would still translate to well over 100MPH which sounds more reasonable.

More likely to see Roush Mustangs and that company is based in Michigan.
To: MeneMeneTekelUpharsin
I’ve owned several Mustangs but am not aware of any stock Mustang that can even get close to 208mph
To: Blue Jays
Driver likely had one foot on the brake, and one on the gas.
Too much traffic and he couldn't pass, No!
If that driver rocketed past at 208 mph the trooper would be barely able to even identify the color of the car.
I think this report contains lots of inaccuracies.

Well if Slow Joe Bidet can get 160mph out of a stock ‘64 Corvette then I guess jose can get 208mph out of a Mustang.

I’m betting it’s not a hoax. I own a stock 2015 GT. I’ve been driving 50 years, all kinds of vehicles, and this thing lays power to the wheels like there’s no tomorrow. Flip the switch to “Sport” or “Track”, and it can get scary real quick.
435 Hp with no tweaks, 165 is the “book” top speed. I know some guys who report over 185. There is a bolt-on supercharger that gets it over 700 Hp. I have no doubt that would get you over 200 mph.

Must be one of those Roush Stage 3 Mustangs. Friend of ours bought one. 600 some odd HP IIRC

I’m sure they mean tail lights and not brake lights...but don’t reporters know anything anymore?
