From London, England living in Canada opposite the UP of Michigan. I remember a small downstairs bar in our neighbouring city called the Hickler House. I sank back a beer and someone played this on the juke box.
I remember being sneered at in the British army as raw conscript. I mentioned that one day, I would like to go to the USA. A cockney voice said "yewll nevah get to Americaw". (You will never get to America).There I was in small town Michigan and I remembered the sneer and savoured the moment.
The video with Willie Nelson is a nice piece of Americana. "The graveyard of the rusted automobiles"- then a young woman feeding her infant the old fashioned way.
