I loved the Beatles music, but as I got older, I disliked Paul because he seemed like a self-glorifying control freak, and I disliked John because he was simply an a-hole to people.
I appreciate an entertainer who knows their place in the scheme of things, and can still be gracious to the people who give them their money. Lennon apparently had complete and utter contempt for people who forked over money for his product.
I recently read that all of the Beatles were assholes to people.
One thing Lennon got right, they were part of a movement but it wasn’t all them. As for best I’d give that to the Stones, they are still together, still performing and can still sing.
My spouse wanted to see McCartney when he was in town this past summer and I went for the ride since I already knew that his voice was shot, having seen his last performance at a Super Bowl and at the London games.
The sound was off and as I said, he doesn’t have the voice for it anymore.
You go to see the legend I guess, but he just couldn’t hit a lot of the notes anymore and I think they tried to cover it up with the sound being too loud.
I then looked up those that performed at Indio and it confirmed it, they still sounded good except for Paul.

There was a Freeper article maybe it’s still around that Lennon stated he liked Reagan. After Mccartney started his verbal fellatio on obama and trashed Bush, that did it for me completely.
