Yes, he was. I had to overlook that whenever I watched the tv show.

Political views
Vaughn was a long-time member of the Democratic Party. His family was also Democratic and was involved in politics in Minneapolis.[11] and early in his career, he was described as a “liberal Democrat”.[12] He was the chair of the California Democratic State Central Committee speakers bureau and actively campaigned for candidates in the 1960s.[11]
Vaughn was the first popular American actor to take a public stand against the Vietnam War and was active in the Vietnam-War-era peace group, Another Mother for Peace.[13] With Dick Van Dyke and Carl Reiner, he was a founder of Dissenting Democrats.[14] Early in the 1968 presidential election, they supported the candidacy of Minnesota Senator Eugene McCarthy, who was running for president as an alternative to Vice President Hubert Humphrey, who supported President Lyndon Johnson’s escalation of the war in Vietnam.[14]
Vaughn was reported to have political ambitions of his own,[15] but in a 1973 interview, he denied having had any political aspirations.[16]
He was not your typical Hollywood dullard. He earned a PhD in English with a fairly difficult dissertation. RIP
And don’t forget “Teenage Caveman” a great MST3k, with their best short “Catch’n Trouble”.
I have tears in my eyes. :(
Still acting!..............
Bummer. He was a boyhood favorite of mine.
Robert Vaughn was the last of "The Seven." (Brad Dexter was the last previous to Vaughn.)
Regards,
I didn't see that one, but I do remember his performance in "Battle beyond the stars."
That show stared Richard Thomas (John boy of the "Waltons.") and Robert Vaughn just had a bit part in it.
It was really a terrible movie. If it wasn't on MST3K, it should have been. :)
On another note, I was surprised to see Dolph Lundgren show up as a Russian crime boss on "Arrow" this past Wednesday.
Something I just learned about Lundgren: He holds several degrees in Chemistry, including a Master's in Chemical Engineering. He was getting ready to attend MIT on a Fulbirght Scholarship but went into modeling and acting instead.
Now that David McCallum has aged, and has probably put on a few pounds, I'm guessing he somewhat resembles Donald Trump. They have some Scot genes in common.
Wasn’t he the immortal man on Twilight Zone who wanted to die?
He said that in "Teenage Caveman", he invented the bow and arrow.
Another time, he told of his importation of a London cab, and how it couldn't hack (get it...) the less-than-flat terrain of Kali.
The last time was on Dennis Miller. He mentioned that once, a lawyer by the name of Robert Kardashian moved in across the street, with a wife and two little girls...
Are you old enough to remember the "Man from U.N.C.L.E."?
Geeze, me too. Watched it on a black and white Philco.
That was a pretty cool show. Cold War era, James Bond era.
Beat me to it!
Time to watch “Teenage Caveman again”
I loved “Man from UNCLE.” Leo Carroll as Mr. Waverly ...
Trivia: What does U.N.C.L.E. stand for?
Worse trivia: What does T.H.R.U.S.H. stand for?
More: Mr. Waverly was Number 1. What number was Napoleon Solo? Ilya Kuryakin?
Back in the ‘60s my older sister sent off for an “autographed” photo of Robert Vaughn. She kept it on her dresser.
Mixing '60's spy shows: John Drake was #6, and drove a 7.
RIP. He was good actor, even in bad shows.
