Words can't express my relief over the results of this election - we have been granted a reprieve indeed.
But I am vexed over the fact that we have, or likely will, LOSE seats in both the house and senate. What is with that?!!! Do voters really try to be "equitable" in electing a conservative, but trying to balance it out with a more liberal legislature?
Granted, the losses appear to be small, but the Senate balance is disturbing.
Did “we” or did the Republicans ?
I did NOT vote for any incumbent yesterday. I voted against everyone of those RINOs.
My vote made no difference, but I can see where others who had the same idea might have swayed the vote.
Congress did not protect our interests, am I surprised that some of them lost their jobs?
Places where the bulk of the losses happened (IL, NH, NV) also went blue on the presidential level; one exception is Florida, but those were largely due to some mid-term court-imposed redistricting.
Don’t worry about a one size fits all generalization.
The “balance” theory was cooked up by media.
Conservatives want to DEFEAT the enemy.
It’s natural for the party in charge to lose a few seats in the House. Many of those districts were not GOP friendly to begin with. The Senate was a numbers game. It’s always harder to defend ground than capture it. The Dems will have 23 seats to defend in 2018 vs. 8 for the GOP. I’d love a filibuster-proof majority for President Trump.
There are always motion in congress as some (Most?) races are more about Local issues than national themes....the good news is in NH distancing herself from the Donald hurt Ayotte.
Enjoy the victory...a win this good is rare. 8 years ago the Dems had this type of win and wasted the opportunity on Obamacare....with last night their defeat is complete.
Hey if we lose Rinos to democrats, helps us clean house. The purging required on our side may notmbe pretty. Considering who we want to purge out, rino gopers uniparty enablers, those districts may be harder to win with a genuine conservative candidate. The purge doesnt work if we run another rino or lib republican, theres no purging occurring then,
Yesterday was overwhelming great for us, no one ever wins 100%.
Ayotte and Kirk lost, right? Two dyed-in-the-wool RINOs, neither of whom supported Trump, and running in left leaning states. We held the senate and house, so I don’t care that a couple RINOs got thrown off the island.
This was a historical win for the good guys.
Enjoy it now, and get back to work to implement the agenda.

Well said. That's what Ayotte gets for bashing Trump. That race will go to a recount. She got what she deserved though.
Kirk was not going to win again in (ILL)inois.
We could have won the open Harry Reid seat in Nevada if not for all the illegals voting there. Trump will be fixing this problem soon.
Losing Ayotte in New Hampshire is like losing Scott Brown in Massachusetts.
We need to focus on expanding out senate majority in 2018 by winning seats in red states.
We lost less than forecasted. Democrats were hoping to get the senate back. Instead, republicans have every branch. Next election, democrats will be risking more seats, so they can lose more.

I doubt wither of these clowns will be missed and we'll get someone that honestly acknowledges that they are a dem. With the RINOs, the GOP financed their campaigns only to have them be reliable dems.
Not to worry. Trump has more majority party support in Congress and the states than any Republican since Calvin Coolidge.
Don’t expect the DNC media to bring this up, but Barack Obama has been a disaster for the democrat party. He came into office with huge majorities in the house and senate. Now 8 years later, the GOP has solid control of both houses, the presidency, a supreme court nomination waiting on Trump’s desk, not to mention more GOP governors and state houses than at any time since the 1920s.
Let’s hope Trump doesn’t fritter away this tremendous advantage the way Obama did. But in the meantime he’s in good shape to move his priorities quickly.
