First I’m hearing of this. My old FRenemy, Robert (Bob) Winter-Berger wrote a book about Ford’s corruption (he was his bagman) that is not pretty. It’s called The Washington Connection or Fix or something. It’s buried somewhere in my basement. Bob was extremely embarrassed about that book as well he should have been. Probably wrote it to get off going to jail. Gore Vidal was fascinated by Bob’s revelations for a long time before he became fascinated with the Oklahoma City bomber.
