As a kid I loved the original movie (still do)... Yul Brenner as the Gunslinger and his relentless pursuit of Richard Benjamin through the Three Delos Theme Parks is still one of the most Iconic movie-long chase sequences ever filmed. The new series though is much more complex with robots that are more than just walking targets for rich park guests who want to shoot up the place cowboy style.

So far I've enjoyed the slow roll-out of the story with what seems to be an impressively deep main plot and some really top notch acting. And the creators have embraced the original movie and built off it sprinkling in Easter Eggs for the sharp eyed fans of the earlier movies.

The above is a screen grab from last night's episode. Wherein Bernard (the man on the right) must go down to Restricted Level B82 to do some research. As Bernard walks through the long abandoned area he passes the figure on the left.

There is no doubt in my mind who that shadowy figure that Bernard walks past is supposed to be.

Be warned if you do watch Westworld the series there are many nude scenes but for me the acting and story are well worth the time.

If people don’t like “nude scenes” that’s cool, but most of them feature people (synths/robots) sitting inanimate. There are considerably fewer HBO-esque sex scenes than in other shows.

Still if you don’t like any nudity this might not be the show for you.

This is one of the few shows I actually watch on TV... Love it. Was surprised by how many good actors are in it, and the storyline is interesting, only on ep 2.

Westworld reminds me of Bangkok. Live out your craziest fantasies. The women behind the windows are the the synths. Sometimes, they wave up and kill the Aussie.

The acting is great, but I’m finding the storyline to be a bit of a slog.

And you can tell the robots (hosts) by the fact that flies land on their faces and they don't even react.
