Just when it looked like Hillary Clinton was poised to win the 2016 election, the FBI has thrown a gamechanger into the mix. On Friday, FBI Director James Comey announced that his agency has discovered new emails related to Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information that they had not previously seen. According to the Associated Press, the newly discovered emails “did not come from her private server”, but instead were found when the FBI started going through electronic devices that belonged to top Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her husband Anthony Weiner. The FBI has been looking into messages of a sexual nature that Weiner had exchanged with a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina, and that is why they originally seized those electronic devices. According to the Washington Post, the “emails were found on a computer used jointly by both Weiner and his wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, according to a person with knowledge of the inquiry”, and according to some reports there may be “potentially thousands” of emails on the computer that the FBI did not have access to previously. Even though there are less than two weeks to go until election day, this scandal has the potential to possibly force Clinton out of the race, and if that happens could Barack Obama delay or suspend the election until a replacement candidate can be found?

I compare it to auto racing. There are usually favorites to win. However, sometimes one of the favorites blows an engine or gets in a wreck early on.

Hillary will never drop out
The election of Nov 8 is not a popular vote for president. It is a vote for a slate of state electors. Those electors can vote for whoever they want when the electoral college meets.
The genius of the framers shows through again. It doesn't matter if Hillary is struck comatose between now and when the electors meet. The process will continue.
He doesn’t have the constitutional authority - but that has not stopped him before.

I don’t see any Constitutional authority to suspend a presidential election by a sitting president under any circumstances. We even had elections during wartime.
The FBI will not have time to finish their review and call for an indictment, nor will the DoJ issue one. That the DoJ and the Dems have loudly condemned Comey for saying anything near an election makes it nearly impossible for them to do anything official now. Hillary will not step down, and the Dems show no appetite for forcing her out. So Obama will have no basis for delaying anything. He’ll pardon Hillary and company after the election.
He has to tread,lightly as his emails to her before march 2013 are known to be out there from the first investigation. Which ismwhynit never went anywhere.

Torricelli involved only the fact that the time had passed where the ballot could be changed. The election went on as scheduled.
Even George Soros cannot buy that many state Attorneys General. And ultimately the Attorney General of each state would have to be suborned to make this strategy work.
