I was on an Army TDY deployment for 4 months in the middle of nowhere Ft Hunter Liggett California. I was able to bring a dozen cassette tapes with me and Heartbeat City was one of them. I must have listened a couple hundred times and always liked this song. RIP Ben Orr.

This song reminds me of a summer job I had at General Electric Puerto Rico Operations headquarters in the Summer of 1984... I was 18 and had just graduated high school... this song would play on the radio over & over (I was an intern and had a little portable radio on my desk)... all sorts of memories touring the island with GE execs visiting plants come to mind when I hear this song.

RIP Ben Orr!
