The thing I worrrry about, is..perhaps the will of God is different than what I want.
My Christian friends, is a Trump presidency just wishful thinking?
Rodham and Gomorrah
Not wishful thinking. Prayerful thinking.

I and dozens of my friends have been praying long and often to save our country. Some of my friends are praying for Trump to win. I would like to see Trump win, but I am praying less specifically and putting the details in God’s hands since He knows better than I do. I am asking for the corrupt to be removed from power.
Not if he has been annointed by God.
How odd! I was have been thinking about that a lot lately. And interceding in prayer for America. Trying to make a deal with God. I just don’t know what the magic number is. Is it 200 million Americans? Or 100 million? Would he save us for 50 million?
Or is it too late? Will we now be under our deserved judgment? Does the rain fall on the just and the unjust the same?
I think about this verse too when people say we(as a nation)are getting exactly what we deserve.
I remember that many of us are praying for an end to abortion and other widespread evil and corruption and for people to be able to see and come to God.
I am hoping we are enough to spare our country from His wrath.
One thing that comforts me is how nothing has succeeded in taking down Mr. Trump, just like that other verse.
Knowing that His hand may very well be on Mr. Trump keeps me from panicking.
Don’t worry FRiends.
God had got this, one way or another.
That’s what I keep saying to the doom and gloom/God will destroy the US crowd. Really? Can’t find 10 righteous people in all the US?
I’m one. I know nine. (Difference between “perfect/flawless” and “righteous” i.e., “Declared justified”)
I have been praying that for years - since 2008. Please save this country, there are righteous here. Please guide us and protect us. Please bring this country back to God. Please remove the evil. Please unmask the evildoers.
No I do not believe a Trump presidency is wishful thinking. I hope that it is an answer to many prayer warriors.
I feel the same wway...why should God listen to me?
His Will may be different than my deepest needs. Still, this gives me HOPE:

I run that deal on God all the time when I pray against hurricanes, wars and other natural disasters - locally and nationally. Surely there are enough good Christians to gain his mercy in the US. I know there are enough in our town and State.
“....Abraham argued with God about Sodom.”
Abraham never argued with God — He BARGAINED with Him as if he had something to trade with God(which he didn’t). This incident shows God’s mercy, which is free and not for sale.
Well, it was Lot negotiating to save Sodom, but I understand what you are saying here.
May G_d keep us in his care, and help us help those who have not found Him yet or are trying to deny Him.
I would like to see Soros and his empire fall.
Well, I haven’t watched TV for a long time but did see a couple of Sex and the City clips yesterday. It just made me realize how far we have really fallen and this show was 10 or 12 years ago. Our country has really been ‘Frog pot boiling’ for quite awhile. The really bad news is that sin will not let the free people be free. Just like in Lot’s time, they will not tolerate just people. You must participate in the sin. Lord have mercy on us.
As for Trump, I tell others sometimes God gives you what you need, not what you want. I pray that is the case now. I wonder if Trump is surprised by how much corruption he has exposed and how many people appreciate his ability to fight. I wonder if this has made him examine Conservatism, the Bible, and the Lord more and if that has given him a clear vision on where this country needs to go. I can only pray that has happened. If it does happen and we can turn from the evil ways with a strong leader we will truly know we are in the midst of a miracle.
We will be held responsible for removing God and prayer from school, fornication, drugs, homosexuality, and of course abortion. We are God's people and we are the ones sitting on the sidelines doing nothing. 2 Chron 7:14.
