And now this . . . .how much more will the Lord tolerate in this country.

Sounds like a boycott of the shopping center should be organized. The tenants will scream and sue the landlord.

Not the smartest marketing move.

I hope this makes a lot of news in Sarasota, and mall traffic dives.

Let’s have Christmas without Christ this year, shall we?

"Sure! Come and spend your money! And Celebrate Christmas! Just not too much....no references to religion, the baby Jesus, Christmas, the reason for the season, or any of that other icky conservative stuff. And no Hanukkah, either."

"How about Kwanzaa?"

"Sure, but you don't look like a young white female elementary school teacher."

If I’m going to subvert the true meaning of Christ’s birth via commercialism and over-consumption then I darn sure want Christmas music playing while I do it.

Then we’ll have to stop calling it CHRISTmas

There is Christmas music but it's been toned down to only 25 percent or so. Shoppers complained about 24/7 Christmas music all the time. I must admit I get tired of listening to Jingle Bells after the 3rd time.

Stores play less Christmas music — finally

I may have missed it in the article, but is there an “or else” attached to the directive?

To address your question Maudeen, this country is already on borrowed time and we’re playing the spiritual equivalent of Russian Roulette, if I can put it that way.

How insulted Jesus must be.

Local shoppers should call them and tell them they will not shop there if they are anti-Christmas or trying to be politically correct rubbish.

And whose bright idea was this?

The largest Christian and Jewish holiday season on Earth and they want to stifle their customers’ spending habits?

Their renters should leave ................

Time for a Christian flash mob to descend upon the mall and sing their hearts out.

Sarasota is — or was — the winter home for the circus.

Looks like the clowns never left.

mussie call to prayer chants will replace them. Will sound pretty hollow when there’s nobody there shopping. Mall vendor’s livid over low sales.

Reason #216 why I mostly buy online. Eff the malls.

This mall was the only enclosed shopping mall built anywhere in the country in 2014. Despite malls dying all over the country they built this white elephant with the hope that it would defy the inevitable. On-line shopping will kill this one, too. Sounds like they are doing their best to hurry the process. The only stores doing well there are the restaurants.
