I’ve seen stories about people in the US that are similar to this one. They’ve had to cut out doorways sometimes, to get them out of the house.

A couple of years ago here in Houston, I think, a woman was too fat to get out of her door. They had to cut the door frame. Then she was too fat to fit in an ambulance so they had to get a bigger truck.
There was a woman who lived on an upper floor at a beach resort condominium hear here ten years ago who made all the arrangements for the disposal of her body well before she died. She was removed from her quarters by a crane that pulled her out through the sliding glass doorway from which the doors had been removed and over the balcony then lowered to a waiting ambulance wherein she was deposited by being pulled inside with a winch.
