I love my CLA - may be "bottom end" but the 2 liter turbo is smooth and relatively quick for a car that gets 28+ locally and 38-42 on the road. 0-60 in 6 - 6.2 seconds and very deceptive so you don't feel like you're accelerating as fast as the speedo says and it's easy to be going 90 and not realize you ain't at 65-70 any more.

The only AMG part I have is the suspension and it holds the road like a 6-toed cat on a curtain.

The AMG power plant is the same 2 liter engine - only hand built and putting out over 340 ponies.

Which AMG model do you have? I have also looked at the AMG GTS. Nice car, but rumours they are working on a Black Series model.

AMG actually developed a magnificent 6.2-liter V-8 engine rated at around 520 bhp, but unfortunately fuel economy requirements sadly killed further development of that engine. AMG instead decided to develop two-turbo V-6 engines with the same power but with much better fuel economy.

A really impressive engine is the AMG-developed 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4, rated at an amazing 350+ bhp and found on the Mercedes-AMG GLA45 and CLA45 models.
