A “new” Republican Party is not needed. A new Party is.

What will a new party accomplish except to continue losing elections?

Donald Trump is going to win the overwhelming majority of white male votes; the demographic that makes up the labor force of this country, the producers, the people that have made this country wealthy. And yet he is likely to be defeated by Hillary Clinton, who represents the population with their hands out, asking for free stuff.

The problem is demographics and a new party isn't going to change this. We're outnumbered. Fifty years of allowing the Democrats to import new voters from the Third World is not without consequences.

What we will see, I predict, will be an exodus of white males from the civic tradition of voting. Why bother wasting your day standing in line only to see your candidate lose? When the people who share your values always lose to the people who oppose them, what's the point?

And this is when things will get interesting. There are other ways to make voices heard.

And what to do with Houston, Austin, San Antonio and increasingly DFW, places that are as blue and "progressive" as any other big city?

We're not a red state/blue state country. We're a red rural/blue urban/purple suburb country and this makes secession difficult.

I believe in giving Texas what it deserves by being a loyalist and optimist not a pessimist.

We clean them up. Give them a chance to either come around or leave.

Join the fight at TNM.
