Randy Travis singing ‘Three Wooden Crosses’ with lyrics.
Amazing.
God Bless
I am in a southern gospel band that tours a lot of small churches in south central KY. This is a song I introduced into the band. It’s hard for me to sing because at that certain point it’s difficult to keep my composure.
Interestingly, I came across this song when, after purchasing a suitcase at an estate sale to load our treasures for the plane trip back from seattle to KY, We unloaded the suitcase and found a home recorded CD stuck in the lining. On it was written “Three Wooden Crosses”. It was this song.
It’s true. It’s what you leave behind you when you go.
I’m sitting listening to the Randy Travis solo version and crying. I was checking into his songs after reading about his recent stroke. Prayers for Randy Travis.
The lyrics seemed to compare to the biography of Danney Williams who is also in my prayers.
