Fellow Freepers, I need some encouragement about the 2016 Presidential Election. I've got the same sinking feeling that I had before Obama's 2 elections. I've stated before that Trump was not my 1st choice for the Republican nomination. But he won and I wholeheartedly endorse his campaign. All major media outlets (including Fox) has actively come out against him. A 12 yr old "hot mike" slang conversation is being used to destroy him. Paul Ryan and a host of other establishment Republicans are working to elect Hillary Clinton. Even after a brave and domineering debate performance the talking heads like Rove put him almost double digit down to one of the most corrupt individuals in American History. Americans seem content to pack the Supreme Court with people who don't believe in law. They are about to elect a President who set the Mideast aflame. She believes Christians only have the right to espouse their beliefs in a Church. SisterK and Stars and Stripes have faithfully that America wakes up before we leap into this precipice of moral extinction. I've said all this to say that I need encouragement. My fellow Christians say that I should not fret because God is in control. But I still worry about the pain that is about to reign down upon our beloved America. I know Donald Trump is flawed like all of us but he really believes in fighting for the neglected people in our country. Please give me some perspective on the next 20 some days ti the election. Thank all of you Freepers for the island of freedom you have carved out.

My thoughts-
One way or another, we are seeing the end of the political consensus that has existed in this country since WWII.
I agree with LS that Trump is winning and winning big. People want change. The establishment is panicking. If I am wrong? So what. The rotten political system represented by Paul Ryan and Hillary Clinton must end and it will end with this election either way. Trump has kicked down the door. Even if they can stop him from walking through they will never be able to bolt it shut again. Trump has already won.
Right now the media is attempting to carry out a coup on the part of both the GOP and the Democrats with all the forces of organized money and power behind them. If Trump defeats them he will have secured a sweeping mandate to put things right- He will be president with an exclamation point. If Hillary “wins” she will be the first “president” with a question mark, wearer of a tarnished and diminished crown. The legitimacy of the state and the its institutions has been undermined by their misconduct in this election.
This country is in an economic, political, social, and military crisis that it is categorically failing to overcome. America in 2016 is as doomed as the USSR in 1980 unless radical reforms are undertaken. Trump is Gorbachev. Hillary is a half-senile Yuri Andropov.
The game is almost up for the coup plotters- either on election day or in a couple of years when the bottom falls out. And it WILL fall out with 100% certainty. The day the peasants come forth with the torches and pitchforks is soon, very soon. What will come after? That depends on the actions of those who love freedom and justice over the next several years.

I have the same feeling, once a day for about thirty seconds. Then I realize that the media is getting defeated daily by the slick media people in the Trump campaign.
I never ever would have thought of arranging a table for Trump and Clinton victims. That was a brilliant shot heard around the world.

I’ve got a dilemna here. I’ve been a Cruz supporter for several years. I feel firmly
that Trump is a disaster waiting to happen. Is Rubio a better antitrump candidate than
Cruz? Should I shift my primary vote March 1 in GA. to Rubio because he has a better
chance of defeating Cruz. I believe Cruz is a good christian conservative and Rubio
is a younger Reagan. Which one should I vote for?

You need to understand politics.
Sometimes things are not defensible, but often all a candidate needs is to be be more defensible than the other. There are so many issues, don’t allow yourself to believe those who want you to focus on just one and then get all distracted and lose focus on the big prize.
We are all cracked pots. God can use cracked pots, he always has.
Very Good! You’re better at digging up old remarks than NBC! Yes I proudly voted for Ted Cruz. But being a LOYAL Republican for 61 years I fully support the nominee of the party, Donald Trump. Tonight is the 1st time I’ve doubted that suppost. The vitriol and fascism and intolerance exemplified by 98% of the posters have almost convinced me that something evil is amiss, here.

NOTHING at this time would be worse for the country than a continuation of the Obama administration. In fact, in some ways she may be more radical than he is, if that's even possible.
If you review the transcript from last night, you'll see that the Democrat moderators moved the kill shot question to the front of the line.
Both of them went in for the kill, and they gave Hillary a chance, also.
When Trump FINALLY responded after initial dithering, he made it clear he was going to throw fastballs about Hillary's antics RIGHT AT HER HEAD.
The Democrat triplets dropped the subject like a hot rock, and it never came up again in the debate.
They STILL don't what to do. They're trying all sorts of lines [Bill's not running, LOL!], but they don't know how Trump is going to exploit the breach in their lines. :)

Second, if you seriously believe Ted Cruz, one of the rare few in such a position who 'gets' the big picture of what's going on in the world, in terms of terrorism AND Russia, is a "traitor to the country", you simply don't know what the hell you're talking about.
But I'd rather not get too deeply into this conversion now because we need to fight together in order to have a shot at winning this stacked deck election. This is not the time to be bashing Ted Cruz, of all people.

OK, we’ve all had a chance to vent. I probably should never have posted my doubts with so much tension afoot. I’ve said some stupid things,myself,tonight. I am going to vote for Donald. Now lets all go out and get to work for him(especially in the swing states!) signing off to all fellow Freepers and please don’t hate me for voting for Cruz!. Now it’s off to my “safe” room!
If the voters are stupid enough to let those sort of issues, or even poll results, sway their vote, then this Nation is chuck full of stupid people who don't deserve Liberty.
Take heart. The media is trying really hard to control this election. Just help keep voters eyes on the prize.
