The deplorables are starting to wonder if govt has been lying to them about Hurricane Matthew intensity to make exaggerated point on climate— MATT DRUDGE (@DRUDGE) October 6, 2016

Free Republic has a lot of tropical storm alarmists. Maybe FR should have two threads for hurricanes. One can parrot the alarmism of the NHC, and the other can report on and evaluate actual weather conditions.
No one denies that hurricanes must be taken seriously. The question is whether we should be told the truth about hurricane intensity. I'm firmly in the camp that advocates accurate information about hurricanes.
live feed from singer island, FL right now.
reporter on the beach reporting live.
the waves look 2-3 foot. wind looks 20-40mph.
the anchors said he should take shelter as a band is coming thru in 10 minutes. odd.
i’d expect a HELLUVA lot more from a cat 4 storm

also, singer island is supposed to be 50 miles from the eye right now.
odd
What you said. This is a major event. Central Florida has not been through a major storm since 1898. In that time canals, the intercoastal, and ports were built. All of them will drive storm surge inland. Add to that storm virgins who don’t know to bring in the stuff that we all have outside in FL.
I recently moved from south FL to central FL. I was quite amused to see so many cleaning out the dairy aisle. Living through 3 weeks without power will teach you what to buy in advance of a storm.
Not the one you posted.
I truly hope our southern friends shoot every damned looter they see and let the tidal surge take care of the carrion.
Perhaps he uses that one too, but what I linked is absolutley an account that Drudge uses. I check it daily.
He doesn’t tweet here that much, and frequently purges his tweets, but it’s him.
Sure juiced the retail sales figures in the third most populous state. This hurricane brought to you by Walmart and Home Depot.
He lives down there. The storm is the news for him right now.
Yep.
Yeah....!!
Kinda like weather in OK....
They (the media) also were the ones that started the rumor that there was going to be a big doc dump by Assange.
And you’re right about the diversionary tactics they use.

Link in the Drudge tweet goes to a real weather monitoring station.
No, it’s not odd at all. It’s Drudge.
He will drop a single post on this account, and leave it there for a day, and then delete it.
Sometimes you go to this page and there is nothing at all. That can go on for a few days, too.
Rarely does he go on a little rant like this... sometimes his posts are handedly cryptic, too.
Add the link to your bookmarks and check it going forward. You will soon understand that it is Drudge, for real. No question about it.
September 8, 1900 - Galveston Texas was effectively wiped off the map by a category 4 hurricane.
NOAA’s wind predictions for various locations along the east coast of Florida have dropped significantly since earlier today. Locations that were earlier predicted to get 100 mph winds (not gusts) are now showing 60 mph winds.
Strange.

Heard talk on radio here in SC about the intensity, strength of the storm
Mention made that with Hurricane Hugo, at its worst, the barometric bar/pressure dropped to 931 and that the latest for this one is at 938. I’d say that’s some pretty serious. As for state officials reactions/actions taken, they are doing all the right things with warning people and giving them what is needed to evacuate.
According to the Media we’re all gonna die.
