In 2013 - a small family bakery in Northwestern Oregon refused to make a cake for a lesbian wedding.
The owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa had no idea that their decision to follow the teachings of their Christian faith would lead to a multi-year legal battle. It’s a battle still being waged.
Aaron and Melissa Klein were eventually punished by the state of Oregon -- fined $135 thousand dollars for refusing to participate in the lesbian wedding event.
It was the price they had to pay for refusing to violate their conscience.
They also made the painful decision to close their beloved bakery – for good.

They were specifically targeted because of their Christian beliefs.

They refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding against their religious beliefs, and were fined $65,000
Some mulsims refused to deliver beer against their religious beliefs and were awarded $125,000

Remember when they demanded homosexual behavior to be removed from the DSM-III( Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Psychological disorders)? They’re also tried to politically change the origins of simian/HIV. Their tolerance levels are a BIT poor.
If I’m not mistaken, they are appealing this state fascism to federal court from various angles related to religious freedom.

Bake the cake, don’t decorate it. Tell them to take it home and put what ever they want on it. “Its against my religion”, that’s all. ???? Now, go into a Muslim deli and ask for a ham on rye or 2 lbs of pork chops.
You are correct, the Klein family is appealing, but of course it could take years.

That is because the Muslims are feared. Maybe if Christians were equally feared, the harassment would stop. Something to think about.
