The United States should give African-Americans reparations for slavery, UN experts said Tuesday, warning that the country had not yet confronted its legacy of “racial terrorism.”

No one now living ever contributed to the maintenance or advancement of slavery....children and grandchildren, etc. can’t be legitimately held responsible for the actions of their ancestors.
Furthermore it would be nothing more than another ‘redistribution of wealth’ scam.... taking money from someone who has never owned a slave and giving it to someone who has never been enslaved.
Most importantly....Hundreds of thousands of people have already died for them to be free in the civil war that blacks alone could not do for themselves......hundreds of years have passed to unite their people to better themselves rather than fight and kill between them.

Furthermore....As Lincoln said....All blacks descended from slaves are more than compensated for the damage of slavery by the good fortune of living in the United States. Every black in the United States is much better off economically, legally, politically, and morally than any black living in Africa.
