I agree. Get over it. The police were taking the word of eyewitnesses under extreme duress who probably assumed that because Hispanics are a much larger demographic in the area.
That is the problem with reporting. It also wouldn't be surprising if someone with his appearance is a well groomed Muslim. But the vile complicit media didn't want it to be a terrorist attack, so they said he's hispanic. They should SHUT UP about a person's race until they have facts. But they SHOULD describe a person's skin color, if the goal is to find the person.

This isn’t an “everything” incident.
This points to the media’s desperation to avoid labeling a mass killer “muslim” until unavoidable, to the point of making a different accusation instead of a proper “we don’t know” (or even “maybe Muslim” where appropriate).
They are outraged because of the “looks Hispanic” dodge, which the MSM reflectively uses whenever a Muslim goes nuts in public, killing people while yelling “Allah Nutbar” (or something similar).
Not arguing over everything, Lydia. Just weary to the point of being furious of the institutional denial. Several weeks ago, in listening to a sermon by a seminarian aspiring to the ministry I once again heard the “this isn’t all Islam” excuse. Somehow, “this isn’t all white southerners”, “this isn’t all Republicans” and “this isn’t all conservatives” will never escape their lips because there is no room for it in their deeply biased minds.

I, being swarthy skinned, have been called “black”, Mexican-American, Tex-Mex, Hindi but, so far, not Muslim. It used to irk me when my checks were refused until a “white” person could back my license.
When I saw the picture of that people-killer in Seattle I thought he would be mistaken for Hispanic only because swarthy skinned people often “look” the same to white people. Having lived in the NW USA, I know good and well how the biases flow.
Actually I have seen many very beautiful Hispanic and Syrian/Iraqui/Iranian, etc., peoples and they look very similar. If I had not been just swarthy with an “odd” nose, maybe I would have been beautiful too.
We've been at this little game long enough to know what is what. This is the time to push back for all our families.
