But, unfortunately, Beck is a Mormon, and it is widely known and generally accepted that they are a faux-Christian cult. Beck never admitted his Mormon status, nor drew attention to it on air. I didn't like him for this obviously deliberate deception. He made many contributions toward the education of conservatives (Alinsky deception, Soros connection, Acorn revelations, etc.) but, in the end, he was a fraud, an egotistical narcissist, and an incompetent businessman who drove his brand into the ground.
Simply put, Beck is a promoter. He almost always promotes himself.
TRUMP is his own promoter and Trump is thee absolute best!
Okay, you’ve seen the usual responses — jealousy, Beck hates everyone, he’s a nutjob, White Horse prophecy, etc.
Let me take a slightly different angle and try to assume Beck is sane, conservative, and wants what’s best for this country (I know most people on FR think it’s far too big a leap to make these assumptions). I know Beck is a big student of history, and he knows it like few others do. And I think he truly believes Trump could be just as bad or worse for this country than Hillary, because he thinks Trump is an authoritarian with Hitlerian tendencies. Some of this belief could also be personal — being one of the higher profile neverTrumpers, Beck may also believe that there would be retribution for anyone who opposed Trump (from the right) once he got into office.
That’s my 2 cents.
I believe it’s because:
He put a lot of effort into Cruz
He believes he is right about everything all of the time
His candidate was rejected
He has very thin skin as most egomaniacs do
He can’t admit that his ridiculous behavior with Cruz was a large part of Ted’s rejection
He has no chance of ever being an influence in Trump’s life or candidacy because Trump knows chumps when he sees them
He believes he is a prophet of God and because the people rejected his prophecy he hates the People’s Choice, Trump
