“I believe it is perfectly legal, as long as they allow you to register with any party. If they shoo you away once it becomes clear you don’t want to register ‘Rat, then there is a crime.”

I’m hoping someone will test that system with a random survey or something to see how “nationwide” and “universal” it really is. It’s obvious they’re going to target likely Dems - only question is how lopsided are they going to be about it.

“with the www being given away six weeks before the election?”

amazing timing, huh? The one decent source of reliable, alternative news that mainstream media refuses to report.

I’m hoping someone will test that system ...

Apparently, voter registration is illegal if not performed in a non-partisan manner.

I clicked on it this morning and added that October 17 is the deadline to register in Virginia for the November 8 Election Day.

I saw the notice on facebook this morning. I post nothing but right leaning political stuff these days so I don’t think they’re just doing it for likely Dems.

That’s good to know - thank you - but you’d want a random sample of lots of users and see how they breakdown

We all know this Administration doesn’t enforce the laws it doesn’t like whenever it suits them.

It was of my feed as well.

I clicked on it to check. Once I answered what state I lived in, it took me to my state’s voter registration page. Since I moved recently, I updated my address. No problem.

In my case, at least, it was kind of helpful.

How do they know who you really are? I have never registered online but in person only and had to rove who I was. What info is asked online to prove your identity?

Keep in mind that in 2014, voter registration and early voting was positive for democrats but didn’t hold Election Day. Registration is not a problem. Getting democrats to vote for Hillary is a huge problem. I don’t have a problem with Facebook registering. Everyone should register to vote. It’s a basic right we have.

I registered in Florida when I got my drivers license. All states should have this. We’d have bigger registered voters that way.

I got the alert, but agree that this will boost ‘rat registration. Hope they don’t bother to vote, though.

And why aren’t republicans going after this block? We are horrible at registration drives. All we do is complain. Well that’s not enough. The RNC needs to register voters using voter drives too.

This shows both the desperation and the sophistication of the liberal left. The good news is that Facebook is more for older people than the critical young voters. That means its impact will be marginal. Also getting someone who has never signed up to vote, to sign up and then to actually vote is a really huge hurdle, but one that I am sure Facebook will attempt. I just hope that everything they do post voter sign-up gets properly reported to public disclosure commissions.

Makes sense. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in there for myself. Last few times was for the kiddo. I have a serious case of CRS from before that time.
