I attended a Fats Domino concert in Spokane, WA in 1960. He sang and played a piano continuously for slightly over an hour without stopping for any kind of break or as much as a glass of water. He very obviously much enjoyed his work and put his heart and soul into it.
In those innocent days there was no security so after the show my buddy and I went back stage and talked with him. He was exhausted but still a gentleman of the highest order talking with his fans.
