A day after police in Oklahoma released video that shows a white Tulsa police officer fatally shooting an unarmed black man, attorneys representing the slain mans family released photos that they said contradict a key claim in authorities version of events.
At a news conference Tuesday afternoon, Benjamin Crump a civil rights lawyer who has represented many families of those killed in high-profile police shootings said Terence Crutcher never reached his hands into the drivers side window of his stalled sport-utility vehicle before he was shot by police.
Crutcher couldnt have reached into the vehicle, Crump said, because enhanced photos of the vehicle taken from police video show that the window was rolled up.
If confirmed by police, the admission would eliminate one of the chief justifications for police using deadly force against Crutcher.

Perhaps another officer fired his taser without Betty Shelby being aware of it - she reacted/panicked and shot Crutcher ?
It’s all speculation at this point. A possible case of negligent homicide by the officer I would think, since he wasn’t armed and apparently not attacking or endangering anyone but himself at that moment.
You sound like Hillary and Obama/BLM. I will stand with the cops and demand she gets a fair trial. Guess that is asking far too much for the lynch mob.
I watched the video, both of them and I could see clear as a bell. The man as staggering around with his hands up. He did not appear well for what ever reason. If I could see the video well and those officers could not then those officers need bloody glasses.
And you sit at yours and do the same. Your poses all along make it clear that you believe Crutcher deserved what he got. So where are you acting any differently than how you accuse me of acting?
” I will stand with the cops and demand she gets a fair trial”
I will ask why this dingbat was ever a cop to begin with. AT the very least she should have been a meter maid.
So glad there is aerial video, hopefully body cams, to help clarify. Otherwise, had this happened just a few years ago, we'd be stuck with another unresolved shooting dismissed in the officer's favor, whether rightly or wrongly.
“But that still means that two dozen or so were not justified”
Since there are approximately 700,000 LEOs in the USA I would say that we are doing extremely well.
.
Must be nice to be so sanctimonious and know exactly what happened. Does that Black Robe get in the way?
Was it ok for Brown to wrestle the gun from the cop in Ferguson too? Where does your cops don’t matter attitude end?
The innocence is the dead victim until proven otherwise. He was shot, he is dead. Not judge or jury. Now, as is right, the police must prove validity in that death or face the consequences of killing the guy.
And even after he was shot dead, three officers appeared to still be fearing for their lives as they slowly walked backwards from the bleeding body, clutching each other with their guns drawn as if Crutchers lifeless body could prop itself up at any moment and come after them.
It took more than a minute after shooting Crutcher that they gathered their courage to walk back and handcuff the body, also in the name of officer safety."
Obey or die!
“Befolgen oder sterben!”
Sieg heil!
They shot him while he was still standing and he fell. Then Dingbat Policewoman shouts “shots fired shots fired”!! No there were no shots fired...she fired the shots. He had no gun he fired no shots. A police officer only yells “shots fired” when shots are fired AT THEM or in general not when they do the bloody shooting. She was suppose to shout “MAN DOWN”.
Oh I really feel safe with this dingbat on the force.
It's harder when the perp is jacked up on PCP and other drugs.
“But don’t police have a responsibility to ensure that Crutcher represented a threat to their safety or the safety of others before they shot him? Isn’t that the threshold for using deadly force? Where was the threat?”
In your ideal world, how many rounds should a suspect be allowed to fire at the police before they can shoot him? Because, in reality, there’s just a split second between “not a threat” and dead cop.
Excellent reasoning on your part (post #40).
Details are sketchy on that as well but one thing that has been established is that the police did recover a gun from the victim and the police said they fired because the victim was armed. If you can't see the difference between the this and Tulsa then I can't help you.
yea..see my post 53 about the “shots fired” nonsense.
You've already acquitted her so what do you care about a trial?
I note a sea change on the freeways: black people no longer feel obligated to comply with even the most basic of traffic laws.
They zigzag in and out of traffic. They drive on the shoulder to avoid backed up traffic. They use their vehicles to intimidate others. They overtly throw litter out their windows in full view of others.
I say this as a person who sees it every single day on my commute.
EVERY.
SINGLE.
DAY.
