BREAKING NEWS OUT OF NEW YORK.

Times Square has been evacuated due to a suspicious package placed in front of a McDonald’s.

Here’s what’s known so far…

From Fox 5 NY:

"The NYPD has descended on 42nd St. between 7th and 8th Avenues in Manhattan where a suspicious package was reported. The street has been closed while police investigate.

It is unclear what the package consists of. Police have roped off the area in front of a McDonald’s in Times Square.

The city remains on high alert after a home-made bomb detonated over the weekend.

The package is reported to be nearby a McDonald’s in a busy tourist hotspot at Times Square.

I thought that might be your point but wasn't sure. One time we stopped to eat (I had been asleep), we walked into a McDonalds and I ordered a Whopper. The clerk said Big Mac? And I said no, Whopper. This happened twice. Then he said I was at a McDonalds and it still took a few seconds to get it. Sigh. Maybe I need to wake up to catch the humor! :-)
