If it was male officers transporting there wasn’t much they could do as far as the girl having to urinate. If they un-cuffed her they would have to watch her to make sure she didn’t run. Law suit! If they left her cuffed they would have to help her get her pant’s down. Law suit!. When we transported females we always had a female officer involved. That department may not have had any female officers but if they did on should have been present.
She wasn't a hardened criminal. She was on her way to singing the National Anthem at an event about The U.S. Constitution.
FYI, at least one female officer was present. This from reading the published police reports.
