Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. TMZ reports that the actress filed papers on Monday citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and asking for physical custody of the couple's six children. The pair began dating in 2004 and were married in August 2014.

Don’t even need to get into their personalities. Rich 50+ year old Hollywood actor becomes disinterested in longtime squeeze not long after she hits 40. He’s onto his next 30 year old, about the same age as she was when they first hooked up. Story as old as Hollywood.
Nobody cares what they do. We just like to mock the celebs who are forever lecturing and criticizing the rest of us on one subject or another. As you know, these uneducated (mostly) dolts are automatically experts on everything since they earn lots of money working as actors/musicians/entertainers.

He now believes he’s a brilliant artist and that people want to hear what he has to say. He’s mistaken about that. The more the public sees and hears him, the more the fact that something’s just not right about him becomes obvious.
I once stood behind her (and one of her kids in a stroller accompanied by a security guard) in the passport line at Heathrow. She is indeed a tiny woman. And getting tinier by the look of recent photos.

Of course if you meant to say that more people will watch movies than the debates, I would agree with you and I would be one of those people. The "debates" after all are nothing but a construct of television. They are simply TV game shows in which contestants, including moderators, try to out-do each other with one-liners and gotcha questions.
Oh, I agree, and as I posted below that, I don't have a problem with either the thread or the n00b's comment. I was just pulling their chain a little in fun, that's all. No serious intent.
Heck, I've got no room to talk about non-news/non-political threads -- I run the Windows Ping List for Windows-related computer/tech threads. And I'm on Slings' Kitty and Not-a-Ping lists, and Lucky9teen's Friday Silliness, just to mention a few more. :-)
There are tons of FR threads I choose to ignore. The advice to "just don't click on it" is sound.
Reason I clicked on this one is, I figured there might be some good pics on the thread; I particularly liked Jolie in the original Tomb Raider movie; so did my daughter (who's now 23). Sadly, in the only pic so far, Jolie looks like Morticia Addams.
I lost all faith in Hollywood marriages back when Eddie Fisher left Debbie Reynolds for Elizabeth Taylor.

For years there’s been a meme floating around about how Brad made a genuinely valiant effort to be the man she really needed whilst she battled depression et al, noting how it was worth the effort & agony because he in fact had one of the most desired women on the planet.
I note that there wasn’t a corresponding meme floating around about how Angelina likewise made a genuinely valiant effort to do her part to make things work.

The scary part is that opinion polls actually change after a debate and the talking heads declare a winner. Also I’m not sure how being a good leader and president somehow equates to having the most skillful debate technique. You could be a tongue tied lummox in a debate setting, but be a really great president, or so it at least seems to me.

Angelina directed a very moving and patriotic film ‘Unbroken’ causing her to be made an outcast by the Hollywood clique.
I don’t think she is what others are portraying her to be on this thread.
It seems she and Brad Pitt grew apart spiritually, emotionally, and politically.
I can’t remember the last time Pitt made a movie I felt compelled to watch. But certainly, Angelina has directed films worthy of spending time to watch.

As for her confused child, I would expect that has nothing to do with the divorce. Likely she had motherly feelings to the child, although wrong, she likely consented and tolerated to the child’s confusion. Pitt likely ignored it whereas I would have kept the child busy with chores and work, forced compliance with the gender born with leaving no time to think about the perversity of the day.
Both of these parents are likely liberal leaving that mark on their children but Angelina clearly loves her father who is a staunch conservative and who must be very brave to be that in such a liberal hellhole as Hollywood.
I have a stopped clock that has a better record.
