Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. TMZ reports that the actress filed papers on Monday citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and asking for physical custody of the couple's six children. The pair began dating in 2004 and were married in August 2014.

A bit of FReeper history.....Angelina's dad, actor Jon Voight, is a true, blue conservative. He was on tap as being featured speaker at one of our Free Republic banquets some years ago, but his shooting schedule interfered. He is a friendly, accessible man. Freeper "Seek the Truth" had his personal phone number during the attempt to make arrangements and talked with him several times. He (and we) were very sad he couldn't make our event. He is a Great American (and maybe a closet freeper, too, LOL).

Well, I did click on it IN ORDER TO criticize the individual who posted it for posting it because it’s garbage. Fortunately, on both ends of the argument, we still do have freedom of speech on this forum unlike everywhere else. I wrote what I meant to write and will defend it. Why give the stage to people like that who only promote immorality and Godlessness? That is why this nation is in trouble like it is and some of you are defending it.
According to rumors, Brad was running around, smoked a lot of weed and “had anger issues”.

I’m pretty cynical about show business marriages. I’ve long thought they’re all arranged by publicists to maximize media coverage. It’s the rare one that actually involves love or even lasting physical attraction, in my opinion.
You can bitch all you want but the fact is that Hollywood and celebrities wield a lot of power and influence over Average America.
Just ask the marketing departments of many Corporations who pay for their endorsements.
They don’t even need to say a word. They can just show up wearing a product on the way to the airport and sales zoom

Granted, they do dress a certain way and ignorant people take note. I, for one, religiously avoid buying anything they endorse. We need to start down the path of placing those people and anyone who has to do with them very low on the priority list. Probably will never happen, but I can sure say so here.
