Mr. Robinson, thanks for finding that!
I found a link to that quote of hers:
I haven’t found a link to the “churches are temples of sedition” phrase as coming from her, but given her anti-christian views, I wouldn’t put it past her to think that, and say it to her minions.
A compare-and-contrast:
Trump wants to do away with the Johnson era rule preventing churches getting involved in politics.
Not having that law would allow churches to be like the Colonial churches that gathered the rebellion against King George.
Illary on the other hand, wants to keep it in place, and stifle the brewing rebellion against Her Heinous.
The Trump campaign should work with the quote you found, not the ‘temples of sedition’ one.
MAGA!!
Je Suis Deplorables!!
Agree, let’s by all means dispute what she’s said, not what some exaggerator wishes she said, but she hasn’t (yet) said.
She did in fact say that. It was well publicized at the time. But that is not quite the same thing as saying that churches are temples of sedition.
Her comment about deplorables would undoubtedly include a lot of Christians who hold orthodox views about abortion, marriage, and “gender identity.”
Why go out on a limb when you don’t need to?
That might be implied in what she said, but it's not a direct quote.
Yes, we've nearly closed the global gender gap in primary school, but secondary school remains out of reach for so many girls around the world. Yes, we've increased the number of countries prohibiting domestic violence, but still more than half the nations in the world have no such laws on the books, and an estimated one in three women still experience violence. Yes, we've cut the mortality rate in half, but far too many women are still denied critical access to reproductive health care and safe childbirth.
All the laws we've passed don't count for much if they're not enforced. Rights have to exist in practice, not just on paper. Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.
That can certainly be taken as a reference to Christians and abortion in the US, but that would be only a part of what she was talking about, not the main point.
My book is protected by my gun, and is why it is easy to buy a book in America so far Mrs Clinton and Mr Obama
