The National Anthem - All in the Family (1972)
Who can deny Archie was right all along?
I hate Meathead. Only he(and a few idiot athletes) could ruin the national anthem.
Tried watching but I couldn’t stomach Meathead all the way to the end.
Try this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ETrr-XHBjE
Or the Cactus Cuties: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKCVS57j284
Did you know that the “All in the Family” theme song was written by the same songwriters who wrote “Bye Bye Birdie”?

Meathead had a very “Kindergarten Mentality” which is iron considering the origin of Kindergarten, which is has German Roots in State ran indoctrination.
I did not know that.
I was an adolescent when this show was in first run, and even back then I hated his character. Even as a 12-13 year old, I could see what an ungrateful SOB his character was.... A guy who moves into his father-in-laws' house rent free, eats his food, yet argues with him and insults him constantly.
My Dad was archie,he was a good man.
Thank you so much for posting this. I’ve never heard of the Cactus Cuties. I’ve never heard the National Anthem sang so beautifully. The video of them singing at the Cowboys game showed EVERY player standing with their hands on their hearts.
Sadly, from what I can surmise, one of them died very young. They’re grown now and two of them are at Baylor.
And Carol O’Connor wrote the lyrics, (Never heard on the show tho), to Roger Kellaway’s instrumental music, ‘Remembering You’, the closing All In The Family music. There is an old video clip of ‘Archie’ singing it also!
Yes, Chrales Strouse and Lee Adams. They wrote the score for “Bye Bye Birdie” and for “Applause” and they wrote “Thoe Were the Days”.
Strouse later collaborated with martin Charnin on “Annie”.
Did you know there were lyrics to the “Star Trek” theme?
Gene Roddenberry wrote them after the first season, after discovering that royalties get split 50-50 between composer and lyricist.
They didn’t get used.
I was lucky enough to discover that video not long after it was first posted. I would guess about 40 or 50 of those 10 million views are mine. :-)
