LOL. I thought it was referring to the 60’s Broadway hit play “Oliver” which had some great music that made its way onto the pop charts. “Consider Yourself One of Us” was one.

jean, Jean, The eating machine. I knew a girl named Jean who would eat Quarter pounder with cheese, large fries, and a Big Mac yet insist on a diet coke.

Very nostalgic, I was in high school, dating a Jean at the time. She loved to sing this song.

Saw Robert Stephens play King Lear at Stratford before he died. Wonderful.

That came out the week before I headed off to Parris Island Boot Camp. It played enough on the radio to get lodged in my memory.

While going through our initial medical stuff, I was tasked with handing out the cotton wads they stuff in your mouth at dental. The Navy dental techs had a radio on (never hear music during boot camp, other than marching band) and sure, enough, it played "Love is Blue".

Poignant moment for me.

The music is lovely. The Album cover, very provocative :/ Being the 60’s there are flowers but the bare lady was possibly the key to its success.

Memories no matter how old or how small, will be triggered by music and savored again.

Lucky you! I’ve never seen a great Lear - the only hint of it was Albert Finney in “The Dresser.”

Brodie is a wonderful movie. It won Maggie an Oscar for best actress - she’s so moving in this. And it has a great script, too.
