When Jane Goodall first encountered chimpanzees using twigs as tools in 1960 something that scientists had assumed only humans could do she wrote an excited telegram to her colleague Louis Leakey:
"Now we must redefine tool, redefine Man, or accept chimpanzees as humans,"
"That strongly suggests that the species has genetic predispositions that lead to development of functional tool use,"

“When all you know how to use is a twig, you tend to bring it to every problem.”
From the title, I was half expecting a bird with a torque wrench.
..and smells
But only because he used tools to create the tool that provides him with the capability of killing from great distances. But yes, you are correct.
According to some, the Mongolian Death Worm exists and can kill at a distance. I don't personally believe such a creature lives, but then again I don't plan on taking midnight hikes across the Mongolian desert...

Various claims are made about the worm by natives of the Gobi. Some say it has the ability to spew forth an acid which, on contact, will turn anything it touches yellow and corroded, and which would kill a man. Others say it can kill at a distance by means of electric discharge.
Thanks, I had never heard of that creature before. I too have doubts, but then again it just may be a reality. Sounds like a new creature for a horror flick though.
There are crows in Japan who place walnuts under the tires of parked cars in order to get the nuts cracked when the cars move.

Some of the crows drop nuts into pedestrian crossings so they can pick up the nuts when the traffic stops for people on foot.
Nice find!
Most believe that Asians have a higher IQ.
Keep your tools close, but your tools’ tools closer. ;-D
Always.
Think how much faster their research would go if they asked people who live and work in the great outdoors a few questions.
Quoth the raven “Never more’’.
Various claims are made about the worm by natives of the US. Some say it has the ability to spew forth an acid which, on contact, will turn anything it touches yellow and corroded, and which would kill a man. Others say it can kill at a distance by means of drones.
The worm is followed closely by Media lapdogs, which consume its excrement and vomit.
As a matter of fact, when you split the tongue of a crow 3/8th’s inch down the middle from front to back, the crow can learn to mimic more words than an African Grey. Oh what stories they can tell.....
LOL, unfortunately I have seen that creature in action. Very deadly indeed, and capable of killing from great distances as well.
Sometimes, (FREQUENTLY), our ancestors will make observations that we find ourselves re-learning! Odin, chief God of the Scandinavian Asgard, had a pair of ravens, Huginn (”thought”) and Muninn (”memory”), to fly around the world and to return to tell Odin of events. Ravens have been considered ‘special’ in many cultures, including Native Americans. They act with greater than expected intelligence, so to find them able to plan tool use is not surprising!
“this happens every day at this time, where in the world are they going.”
They are wondering the exact same thing about you and your co-workers.
The most dangerous prey.
