The photos Drudge uses often contain riddles, clues or inside jokes.
Use of a single BACK-TICK mark in the extreme upper-left corner of his site traditionally indicates to long-time fans that a HUGE STORY is about to hit.
When it does hit, in every case a flashing siren accompanies the headline, which is often in a huge, red font.
Freepers:
What could this impending news BE..?
Take your guesses, please.
I’m on the train to NYC this morning and that back tick is still nestled in the upper left hand corner of Drudge page. Am I safe to leave Grand Central and venture into the city or should I wait?
That's what I like about Drudge. He's still using basically the same original hand typed rudimentary HTML that ordinary people like me were using to build websites back in 1995. Back then websites were clean, simple and loaded super fast even with a 14.4kps modem.
I do miss those innocent days. I'd load a Cranberries CD into my Packard-Bell Pentium PC and set to writing web pages with just a handful of tags to remember. Anybody could put together a website.
`
So how long does it normally take before the big scoop that little tick mark heralds actually shows up?
Maybe the current headline “High Anxiety” is a clue that something big is about drop about Hillary. We can only hope!
When I was in fifth grade, my brother in seventh was on the rifle team and brought his Remington .22lr rifle on the school bus. I was given the honor of carrying the $.25 per 50 round box of ammo. That went on for two years and not even one kid or the driver got shot by that rifle ...
Back in the day, as they say, every pick up truck parked in front of the cafe at lunch time, had a gun rack in the back window, with at least one long gun in it. I’ll bet most of the trucks were not even locked.
Not today!
In the summer, the windows would be down, too.
LOL! Yes I forgot that part!
All the real men in town knew each others guns so stealing one would have been violating a societal taboo ... which in my youth so many decades ago, just was not done because the sheriff couldn’t protect criminals from the people.

Zombie! Zombie! Zo-ha-ha-ha-um-beeee!!!
Great time to start into programming.
Hurm. Nothing yet but a bunch of fun buzz on this thread.
`
Zo-ha-ha-ha-um-beeee!!!
Oh No, not Zo-ha-ha-ha-ram-beeee!!!
The undead gorilla?
Just FYI, I happened to boot into a computer I hadn’t used in a little while, and the Drudge page loaded from cache. The headline was about the 71 doctors who said Hillary’s health was disqualifying (or something like that), and I noticed that little tickmark was present, so maybe it’s been there longer than you thought.
hmmmmm, it’s still there taunting us `
Drudge is awesome. He makes 70 million a year off of crappy broken code with the ugliest design in this century.
PING - Yup, STILL waiting.
Perfect meme, btw, for a LOT of situations.
I learned HTML right here on FR. My assignment officer called me up one day and asked what I knew about designing web pages and I told her I could hand code form Microsoft Notebook.
Got me an assignment with an additional duty as a Department Webmaster.
