The REAL reason why women are freezing their eggs - they are waiting for the perfect father
UK Daily Mail ^ | September 7, 2016 | Fiona MacRae

They are often portrayed as hard-hearted individuals who are putting motherhood on hold in order to climb the career ladder. But women who freeze their eggs are actually waiting for a man who is perfect father material to come along. Researcher Kylie Baldwin, who asked a group of women why they froze their eggs, said: 'I think they were looking for a hands-on father. 'And it was the absence of this particular type of potential father, not just the absence of any partner, that led them to freeze the eggs.

The “wait until your 30s, after establishing a career” feminist model is also why sperm donation now overwhelmingly go to single women and lesbians, not infertile couples anymore.

I remember the reaction when Dr. Laura read that joke.

The ideal woman; a hot 5’ 7” blonde nymphomaniac neurosurgeon with large breasts and owns a golf course, Ferrari dealership and a liquor store.

No offense to women, but there is nothing more pathetic than an attractive 35 year old woman who’s never been married with no kids.

You know they hear their biological clicking, and even though they had “plenty” of chances to settle down with a man, it never worked out right.

Now the only men available are the ones with baggage.

They had their chance, but the men just were not good enough.

In the end, there is a skill to attract a good man to want to marry you. And looks and attractiveness is just a small part of that skill.

People who demand Mr. or Ms. Perfect, probably have the self view that they, themselves, are perfect. And to marry anyone less than perfect, would be a mismatch.

.....says a lot about the mind of such a person.
Best for all if such people are required to wear a sign saying “avoid!”

Well said.
I was single into my 30’s.
When I finally got serious about finding a wife, what I found was that I had started too late.
Of the women of age 30+, the good ones were already married.
The rest were by and large divorced, divorced or single with kids, or if never married, had good reasons for that status.
Some were looking for Mr. Perfect (and I was Mr. Pretty Good only). The real lookers were holding out for Mr. GoodBucks...which meant that me, without the fancy car and fat wallet, never got anywhere with them.
Finally went to a small farming village in OutInTheStick, China and got a GREAT wife!!!

Imperfect women looking for perfect men=guaranteed disappointment

Awful lot of Mrs WBill's friends meet that description.

As (WOO-HOO) SINGLE WORKING WOMEN!!! they do things that most people would look at and be envious - jetting off to NYC at the drop of a hat, around-the-world travel, all-night parties.

The reality, though, is that they desperately want what my lovely wife has. A (ahem, pardon the immodesty) Good Man, nice home, kids, stable life, etc etc. However, they can't find the perfect man (hint: he doesn't exist). They don't want to give up what they have, or compromise, to achieve what my wife has - anyone with a successful marriage will say that it's a lot of work and not always a rose garden.

So, instead, these bitterly unhappy people try to fill the hole with a bigger, but shallower, lifestyle. I'm curious to see what they look like at 65 or 70. I'll be comfortably retired and enjoying grandkids. They'll be enjoying...... Don't know. Unlikely to be a 2am party life, though.

So easily spoken.

I was 34 when I finally met my husband. Who, BTW, was 37 and had NEVER BEEN MARRIED. (Is that pathetic too? I guess it’s just women who are pathetic.)

I married him at 35 and turned 36 on the honeymoon.

I was not satisfied with MANY men even when they were plentiful in the 20s. Call me picky, but in this low-class immoral society, it is very hard to find someone who fits the bill (and even then, he’s not perfect, but i liked the overall) of being a good man. PLUS he didn’t have the baggage of a divorce and/or kids.

Thus, we have a great life with our own child unencumbered by other entangled conflicts. I would have preferred to be younger, and have more kids, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

We both waited and it worked. Although I will say DH had several girlfriends while I never even had one boyfriend.

And looks and attractiveness is just a small part of that skill.

I'll take a smart woman over a good looking one, every time. You'll never be bored with a smart woman.

Fortunately for me, Mrs WBill is as beautiful as she is brilliant. :-)

The jokes just write themselves: They're looking for someone who masturbated into a cup at the fertility clinic.

Did you go on to raise a big family?

"These gals are gonna be out of luck. So much planning, and such a bad plan."

affluence makes up for a lot of bad choices....these women will just flitter on with their lives....

people should stop looking for the "perfect" mate and find a friend and companion....it goes for men too....too many waiting for Barbie dolls and they really do not exist, except it you want someone willing to mutilate themselves extensively to suit you...

Nope, just one. I’m too old and my husband feels too old too! I was hoping for girl-boy twins to get it over with, as elder women are more apt to have. But at least we have one wonderful boy, a truly remarkable child.

Good for you. It’s not easy finding the right man. Too many people settle, imho. I sometimes think that it was a miracle that I found my wonderful husband. He’s the best person I’ve ever known.

Exactly.

And I know one. A cousin who lives in my parents’ basement.

Good guy, with issues, but he is ridiculous about this “perfectly sexy” woman. They aren’t getting any younger and the young aren’t going to want him.
