So easily spoken.

I was 34 when I finally met my husband. Who, BTW, was 37 and had NEVER BEEN MARRIED. (Is that pathetic too? I guess it’s just women who are pathetic.)

I married him at 35 and turned 36 on the honeymoon.

I was not satisfied with MANY men even when they were plentiful in the 20s. Call me picky, but in this low-class immoral society, it is very hard to find someone who fits the bill (and even then, he’s not perfect, but i liked the overall) of being a good man. PLUS he didn’t have the baggage of a divorce and/or kids.

Thus, we have a great life with our own child unencumbered by other entangled conflicts. I would have preferred to be younger, and have more kids, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

We both waited and it worked. Although I will say DH had several girlfriends while I never even had one boyfriend.

Did you go on to raise a big family?

Good for you. It’s not easy finding the right man. Too many people settle, imho. I sometimes think that it was a miracle that I found my wonderful husband. He’s the best person I’ve ever known.
