Ever attend the foreign materials intelligence school behind the wire at Aberdeen in MD ? My favorite rifle was the yugo variant of the SVD ..... the FPK in 7.62x54R. Awesome accuracy.....

I have an old enfield with a 7.62x54R “jungle” conversion an old snake eater did for the Burma / Thai conflict...... near Chang Mai (Rai)...... lots of old enfield rifles for the rebels but their supply of .303 ammo was crap. They converted thousands of those enfield to use captured 7.62x54R..... !

Best conversion I’ve made for economical use of the smoothest action on earth shy of the old 30-40 krag Jorgensen which may be slicker than sheep crap on black ice.
