Bacon-filled tractor-trailer burns for hours in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND — A tractor-trailer carrying bacon caught fire and burned on Interstate 68 in Cumberland Monday, shutting down eastbound traffic from 6 p.m. to midnight, according to Cumberland Fire Department Capt. Steve Grogg.
Grogg said the truck was loaded with a variety of pork products including ribs.
"We'd rather have something like that than a hazardous material," Grogg said.

I just recalled a time there was tractor trailer full of bags of potatoes overturned on the interstate.
The lanes were crawling while the fire dept. worked the scene. When we passed, there were a couple of firemen loading up 50lb. bags of potatoes into their truck.
I bet the firemen on this wreck scored well on bacon and ribs.
